Visit many famous sights and some curious out-of-the-way places in Dublin. Enjoy the intriguing history, events, architecture and stories of the city right back to its Viking & Medieval origins.

This exceptional tour traces the history and anecdotes of Dublin from today all the way back to early medieval times and even beyond. You will be taken through the heart of Dublin to give you a glimpse of hidden gems and surprises often missed by tourist and Dubliner alike. First of all, you will hear the tales of Dublin’s widest street, O’Connell Street and the General Post Office (headquarters of the 1916 Revolution). Then you will experience the shopping precinct of Henry Street before dropping into the former St Mary’s Church, dating from 1702 but today has an unexpected new use. Afterwards you will stroll through the so-called Italian Quarter on your way to the River Liffey with its views and historic bridges. Once across the river you will pass through Temple Bar at the very edge of the old Viking Quarter to reach City Hall and then the courtyards of Dublin Castle*. For the final leg, you will walk along atmospheric shopping streets to reach the campus of Ireland’s oldest university, Trinity College, where the tour will finish.
