This is an unmissable opportunity to see and enjoy the maximum number of places over a four-hour period; Trinity College, Georgian Dublin, Docklands, O’Connell Street, the River Liffey, Temple Bar and the former Viking and Medieval Quarter.

It’s all there! Walk through the campus of Trinity College including parts most visitors rarely see. Then pass a premises closely associated with James Joyce and his writings and visit inside the beautiful Merrion Square Park where you can enjoy a close-up of Oscar Wilde’s colourful statue. Then take in some of the splendours of the Georgian Quarter (18th century) and the impressive Government/ Museum Quarter. Next you will head for the vibrant Docklands area, a mix of the old warehouses and docks and the new bridges and skyline. Highlights will include views of the Jeanie Johnston Famine Ship, the haunting Famine Memorial and the Custom House. The first part of the tour will then take in the Abbey Theatre, the James Joyce Statue, the General Post Office (headquarters of the 1916 Rising) before visiting The Church for a tea/coffee break (free for our guests).

Next the tour will head to Capel Street, first laid down in the 17th century, along the way passing some surprising and interesting historic places. Then you will cross over the River Liffey into the area first built by the Vikings in the 10th century. The walk will bring you to City Hall and the courtyards of Dublin Castle. The tour will finish in the 11th century Christ Church Cathedral to hear some of its fascinating stories and the part it played and continues to play in the life of the city.

At the end of the tour your ticket will offer you discounts in The Church Café/ Bar (20% of bar menu), the Abbey Theatre (10% off ticket price) and Bewley’s Café (10% off menu).
